Dream fragment, August 8, 2011

dream, home 5:40 am

Preparing corn, he tells me.

“You can define yourself as unique, but it is a lie. List your attributes and you must come to a point of commonality with someone else who is out there. Though you might start with ‘enjoys eating tree bark’, you will eventually come to something on the order of ‘English speaking’, and there you are, uniqueness has vanished.”

I suspect that the sorry old sod considers this a deep insight.

(note the Chinook helicopter in the news today looks like the one that disappeared in my dream from August 5th)
